Autumn is coming

Posted Friday 28th September 2018

Autumn is approaching and there’s a love/hate relationship when it comes to the colder weather.

If you find yourself stuck indoors wondering what to do or how to keep the kids entertained then look no further! We’ve lots of ideas on how to get through the cold seasons without boredom hitting you.

Box Set/Movie Marathon – cuddled up on the sofa with a duvet and plenty of snacks. What’s not to love!

Pamper days – everyone needs a pamper session now and then. Whether it’s a bubble bath with candles or a face mask, you’ll feel calm and relaxed ready for the days ahead.

Read a book – always wanted to read something but never had the time? There’s nothing better than a nice hot drink and a good book to keep you engrossed and pass time.

Outdoor scavenger hunt – this is a good one for the little ones. Hide goodies or little objects such as acorns in your back garden or at the local park and send them on their way. The first one who finds all the items wins a little treat.

Bike ride – as cold as it is, it’s always good to embrace the outdoors and get some fresh air. It’s a great way to explore new areas too!

Experimental cooking – Ever seen those recipes on Pinterest and thought ‘I really want to try it but it would be a complete fail?’ Well, when there’s not much going on in the outdoors it’s the perfect time to have a go with those recipes you always wanted to try!

Arts and crafts – with Halloween and Bonfire Night coming up there’s lots of things you can get hands on with. From finger painting, pumpkin carving to decorating windows and making paper chains. A great way for family bonding time!

Museums – Visit your local museum or even venture out to the ones in local cities. Learn the wonders of science or history whilst the kids take part in the activities. Most of them are free too.

Make pizza or decorate a cake – a yummy activity for everyone that you can eat (bonus)!

Rearrange and redecorate – Sometimes just rearranging things around the house makes a huge difference. It’s surprising how much better you feel too!

Oxygen Freejumping – Of course there’s always our Oxygen Freejumping parks for you to visit if you need to get out of the house. Let the kids jump off their energy and you can jump too. Don’t forget to check out our offers!
