As a new term starts, it can be difficult for both parents and children to get back into that “back to school” routine. Time goes quick and it’s easy to lose track of it. You think you’ve got everything covered in your mental to do list but it turns out you forgot to make the packed lunch.
Don’t worry, Oxygen have got you covered with our Back to School Parenting tips!
Meal Prep – Preparing the packed lunches in advance is a huge help. Things like, wraps, sandwiches, salad and fruit can easily be prepared in beforehand. Try doing this the night before or at the beginning of the week.
Bed Time – It’s easy for kids to get into the routine of not sleeping as early as they should when it comes to going back to school. It helps to get them back into their bed time routine a week or so before school actually starts so they get into the habit of sleeping early.
Homework Time – Set a specific time for the kids to get on their with their homework. For example, an hour before dinner or an hour before bed time.
After School Activities – Keeping children active is really important. We’re probably a bit biased on this one but Oxygen Freejumping is great for keeping kids on the go, from Freejumping to Ninja Warrior, the activities are endless!
