First celebrated on 12th August 2000, International Youth Day is a day to raise public awareness to problems surrounding a particular global demographic – in particular the youth, their issues and their contributions.
With the spotlight on the younger generation, International Youth Day focusses on their rights and capability to build a stable future. This can be anything from access to the education system, healthcare, employment opportunities and financial services. It’s a day dedicated to shaping the youth for a positive social change.
